Abby Cunningham
Principal & Founder
Abby has been dancing since the age of three and brings a lifetime of dedication and performance experience to the school. At 16, she earned a place at the prestigious Ballet West, where she trained for three years and graduated with a 2:1 degree in Professional Dance. During this time, she toured Scotland in productions of Romeo and Juliet, The Nutcracker and Swan Lake, and performed in various showcases and choreography works.
She has completed all her ballet grades, most recently achieving a Distinction in Advanced 2 with a mark of 95. Over the years, Abby has also taken part in summer programmes at renowned schools including Elmhurst Ballet School, Northern Ballet and the Yorkshire Ballet Seminars. As a child, she danced with the English Youth Ballet in Giselle, performing the role of a Wood Nymph.
With a strong belief in the power of dance to build confidence, resilience and joy, Abby founded the school to create a space where every student is supported, not just as a dancer, but as a whole person. She combines high expectations with a compassionate approach, helping each dancer thrive in both skill and self-belief.
